On June 15-17, 2017 we will be hosting the Edmonton House Brigade at the Lac La Biche Mission Historical Site.

This living history re-enactment group brings to life the days of the great fur trade brigades in western Canada in the 18th and 19th centuries. They will set up camp at the historical site and conduct demonstrations such as camp cooking, back powder firearms, fire lighting with flint and steel, blacksmith demos, and much more. Demonstrations will take place from 10am-5pm.

On Saturday June 17th, in addition to the fur trader demonstrations, come and enjoy a free pancake breakfast and see the voyager canoes. Below is the schedule:

8:00am-9:30am – Free pancake breakfast at the Lac La Biche Mission

9:30am – Voyager canoe departure ceremony including bag piper and black powder sendoff

10:00am – Voyager canoes launch
