Lac La Biche Mission Historical Site offers visitors an opportunity to discover the Mission’s significant contributions to the settlement of Northern Alberta. Take a guided tour and check out our fully restored Convent built in 1894, complete with interpretive displays. Learn about how the Mission was the first to have a printing press, water-powered sawmill, and commercial crop of wheat in Alberta. Examine the historical buildings, antique and photo displays, heritage wheat, interpretive center, and gift shop with many hand-crafted items from local artisans.
